![]() ![]() Otherwise, I'm pretty disappointed in SE on this one. I guess the point of this thread is to warn others that own DInput supported controllers who might be interested in purchasing Final Fantasy V to hold off unless they want to install the program I mentioned above. If there's another way to fix this then I haven't heard about it yet. I ended up fixing it by downloading something Joy2Key which basically simulates a controller as a keyboard. ![]() ![]() So it sounds like SE either want you to buy a new controller or play the game on keyboard. From the sounds of it, FFV only supports XInput controllers and will simply not register DirectInput controllers at all, despite pretty much nearly every other Final Fantasy game on Steam supporting it. After a quick google search I discover that not only am I not the only one that has this problem, but that this problem has been a thing for over THREE YEARS.Ĭomments about this issue started the day FFV released on Steam and now over three years later it's still not been fixed. So I recently just purchased Final Fantasy V while it's on sale at Steam and I was pretty confused when my controller that I use for every Steam game (other FF games included) didn't work. ![]()
